The diameter of cotton yarn helps determine and calculate the yarn count density of a fabric, or the coverage factor of a particular yarn in a given fabric. The linear density of a yarn equals the number of fibers multiplied by the average linear density of those fibers.
How can the unevenness of combed sliver be reduced?
(1) Appropriately adjust parameters such as the forward rotation timing of the separating rollers, the closing timing of the gripper plates, and the positioning of the cylinder; regulate the pressure applied to the separating and drafting rubber rollers; and properly set the width of the cotton‑collecting device between the separating rollers (on newer combing machines, this device’s width is adjustable) to enhance the quality of fiber separation and lap formation. If the staple fiber length and the feed length are relatively long, the forward rotation timing of the separating rollers should be advanced slightly.
Pakistani cotton yarn export prices remain stable, with strong demand from China.
Recently, yarn prices in Pakistan have declined across the board, while synthetic yarn prices have remained stable. With domestic demand expected to rebound, Pakistani yarn prices are likely to stay relatively firm in the near term.
